Name a cricket after someone who annoys you and watch that cricket become a snack on Valentine's Day
Ah, love. Isn't that what Valentine's Day is all about? The animal keepers at Black Pine like to add a twist to the day.
To show some love to our primates and reptiles, who will receive a delicious enrichment snack to celebrate the day: crickets.
You can also have some fun with this fundraiser. Purchase a cricket for $5 and name the chirping snack after someone who annoys you. The person could be an ex, co-worker, a family member, or politician. The possibility is endless. On Wednesday, February 14th, keepers will post videos on our TikTok and Facebook pages of the crickets that just became a snack. Just think of the smile you will have when the cricket named after your ex gets his head bit off.
For every cricket you purchase, your name will be in the drawing for a 2024 Park Pal Family Membership. Example: Buy four crickets at $20, receive four entries. The winner will be announced, via Facebook on February 14, 2024.
